PWH Explains: Future-proofing Small Islands and the Climate Crisis

In our first interview, PWH Distinguished Visiting Fellow Khadeeja (Hajja) Naseem explains the impact of climate change on small island states, how they can best be “future proofed” from climate-related events, and the importance of international collaboration.

As the Maldives’ former Minister of State for Climate Change, Naseem was also the lead negotiator from the Maldives in international climate change negotiations and represented the Alliance of Small Island States on the Transitional Committee of the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage.
