Carl Bildt is co-chair of the European Council on Foreign Relations and was a 2021-2022 distinguished global leader at Perry World House. He served as both prime minister and foreign minister of Sweden. A renowned international diplomat, he also served as EU special envoy to the Former Yugoslavia, high representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, United Nations special envoy to the Balkans, and co-chair of the Dayton Peace Conference. Bildt was chair of the Global Commission on Internet Governance and sits on several boards, among them as a trustee of the RAND Corporation in the United States.
